Starting at the “Palácio dos Marqueses da Fronteira”, with a remarkable wealth in tiles with particular emphasis on the “Hall of Dutch Panels”, the Gallery of Arts and the Hall of Battles. Enjoy the sumptuous "Italian" gardens beginning on the chapel terrace, especially the Garden of Venus and the Formal Garden from the seventeenth century, situated within the “King’s Gallery”.
In our tour to Sintra, we stop by the “Palacio de Queluz” with it’s historical and one of the most extraordinary gardens. Harmonious connection between landscape, palatial architecture and a reference of rococo neoclassical architecture in Portugal. Built in 1747 by D. Pedro III, husband of Queen D. Maria I. Built as a summer residence, it became a privileged leisure area for the royal family.
On arrival to Sintra, we’ll visit “Quinta da Regaleira”, situated on the slope of the mountain range and at a short distance from the Sintra’s Historical Center. This Palace is split over five floors and has an ornate gothic façade, but the real attraction is to the rear with the enchanting gardens. The gardens of the Quinta da Regaleira were styled to represent ancient secret orders, with hidden tunnels and concealed symbolism.
And “Palácio da Pena", implanted on the top of the Sintra mountain range and fruit of the creative genius of D. Fernando II, this palace is the maximum symbol of Romanticism of the 19th century in Portugal, with architectural references of Manueline and Moorish influence.
